Tons of photos from various contributors are assembled here.  Back in the fledgling days of Import Drag racing many street cars were right in the thick of the competition.  Those days have moved on and given way to factory funded teams and professional level efforts from even the smallest teams.  Enjoy these photos and take a look back at an era where you could drive down to Baytown, pay your entry fee and drive HOME with a trophy in the passenger seat.  Highlights include Girlspeed Racing (remember them?), Steve Kan, Ari Yallon, Sean Ali and Houston's own Cesar Mora lighting up the track for fun, fame and glory.
