If I recall correctly this even happened early in December of 1998.  John Eagle Honda sponsored an all Import Drag Race at Houston Raceway Park.  As the pictures below indicate there was a serious FC presence at this event.  Anyone want to convince John Eagle or maybe even the Haas boys to have another one of these events?
